Life is a series of moments that you create.
How often do we dream of moments to happen in our lives? I know I do, and I’ve done it for so long. Hollywood has plagued us with dreams that we fictitiously want but never believe can happen. But why not? Why do we believe that those moments are a fantasy?
What if we changed frames and decided to live life through the lens of creation. Making a conscious choice to create the moments we dream of? When it comes down to it, we are the only ones that hold ourselves back from achieving those beautiful instances of time, those small connections, those moments of bliss, etc.
What’s even deeper than that is fear. So many times we make decisions out of fear. I know I have done that.
Recently I was sitting on my bike jamming out to some music on the sidewalk in Soho while my buddy was in the bike shop. A beautiful girl walked by eating ice cream. I smiled at her, and she smiled back inviting me to say hello. After the moment had passed, I realized I was still sitting on my bike instead of saying hello. I let fear get the best of me. Fear of being rejected, fear of getting too far out of my comfort zone, fear of looking bad. A combo of all of those perhaps led me to watching her keep walking down the street (which wasn’t a bad view anyways) but I let that moment go instead of creating it. Instead of saying hello and letting serendipity take care of the rest.
It’s moments like these that we can create if we are conscious about it. Every small moment leads to the bigger picture. We can create the intention and the space for serendipity without expectation, and that is where we will get biggest results in our lives.
We can create everything from the smallest moments of intimacy and connection, to big moments of accomplishments, to creating everything we want in life if we are conscious about it.
It starts by choosing creation.
Choosing to intentionally create your life is choosing to be responsible. When we come from a place of responsibility, we take ownership of the power to choose what we do with it. Excuses are stories that we’ve chosen to believe and if we’re not aware of that, we can blink and we’ll be at the end of our lives looking back wondering what happened. I know I want to live life on the crest experiencing creative resonance as much as humanly possible, and that comes with the conscious decision of creating my moments, and in turn creating my life.
Where did this come from? I was in a brainstorm with my team and my agent, and I wanted to do start a movement that could live socially with the original DNA of my photography. We landed on the hashtag, #CreateYourMoments because I capture moments, but not only do I capture them, I create them. I create the space for photographic moments to happen.
This translates directly to how I have lived my life. While not even close to perfect, creating my life is something that has always been important to me, and now it’s given me an even more conscious awareness that I have the power to create even the smallest of moments if I want to.
I’ve decided to create and use this hashtag for moments and stories that I’ve created in my own life with instagram. By using the hashtag, it’s a reminder that I consciously created that moment in my life. But it’s not just about me, its about you. It’s a movement to empower everyone to consciously create their lives by creating the moments that happen.
I invite you to use the hashtag when you post as a reminder to yourself that you created that moment intentionally, and to empower your friends and followers to do the same.

A Brand Isn’t Just a Logo — It’s a Mirror Your personal brand isn’t a website, a color palette, or a polished grid. It’s an evolving expression of who you are — and who you’re becoming. More than that, it’s a container. A space that calls you to rise. To embody your message. To stay […]

Most First-Time Brand Shoots Miss the Mark — Here’s Why If you’re preparing for your first brand photoshoot, you’re likely focused on the obvious: outfits, lighting, maybe even the perfect smile. But what actually makes a photoshoot land is much deeper — and most people don’t know what to look for. And unfortunately, that’s why most first-time […]

The Problem With Traditional Brand Photograph Most brand photos are surface-level. They might be polished. Perfectly lit. Technically solid. But they lack soul. They don’t make you feel the person. They don’t communicate energy, depth, or identity. They look good — but they don’t resonate. And that’s a problem if you’re a thought leader, coach, speaker, author, or […]

One of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make is building their website, offers, or marketing before they’ve ever clarified their brand identity. They hire web designers before they’ve defined their vibe. They write sales pages without knowing the feeling their brand is meant to transmit. But everything — your website, your photos, your content, your brand world — should stem […]

For most people, a photoshoot is about looking good. For Nicky Clinch, it became a mirror for transformation. Nicky is a master maturation coach, author of Surrender, and co-leader of the Emanate Mastermind. When she came to me, her brand was successful—multiple seven figures, sold-out programs, a global community—but something wasn’t resonating. She had reached a plateau. […]

He’s crafting transformation. With a focus on visual storytelling and strategic brand elevation, Nick’s shoots go far beyond portraits. Every session is a creative collaboration—designed to […]

Introduction Lewis Howes, host of The School of Greatness and bestselling author, was ready to elevate his personal brand with a visual identity that matched his next chapter of leadership. He had already built a massive platform. But he was stepping into a deeper, more embodied version of his brand—one that integrated emotional intelligence with […]

Leadership isn’t just something you declare — it’s something people feel the moment they see you. And in a world where your first impression often happens online, your photos need to do more than look good. They need to position you as a leader. A personal brand shoot isn’t about winging it with cute outfits […]

Let’s cut to it: The cost of a personal brand photoshoot depends on one thing—the level of transformation you want to create. You can hire someone to take nice portraits. Or you can co-create an identity-elevating experience that reshapes how the world sees you. So… How Much Does It Cost? At the top of the […]

If you’re an entrepreneur, coach, or speaker looking to stand out online, then you know photography is not just a luxury—it’s a necessity. But hiring the right personal brand photographer can feel overwhelming. With so many options, styles, and price points, how do you find the perfect fit for your vision? Let’s break it down […]

Getting in front of a camera isn’t just about appearance—it’s about energy, mindset, and emotion. When you’re being photographed, especially for something as intimate and revealing as a personal brand shoot, the camera becomes a mirror. A mirror of confidence—or insecurity. Of ease—or resistance. Over the years, I’ve learned that the emotional preparation is just […]
I was born in a low middle class conservative religious family in the suburbs of Seattle. Art was and always has been my passion, and more than that a way of life. Starting as a graphic designer, I taught myself photography, built a commercial/editorial business shooting for the worlds biggest brands like Nike, Coca-Cola, Adidas and more. I've also had the opportunity to photograph the world's biggest celebrities like Justin Bieber, Usher, Jessica Alba and more. I've curated a lifestyle around creativity and have learned a lot along the way which I get to share here.
